My friends and and I are proud to bring you the ‘Draw Some Food Dammit!’ Contest!!!! We encourage everyone to participate! The goal and intent of the project is to have you, the would be participant, explore a new media or idea revolving around the imagery of food, and to have some fun, of course! The contest is open to anyone, regardless of skill. This isn’t a contest of technicality, it’s one of creativity! The contest is open media/material.. including traditional and digital, all are valid; except for the use of Photography and Photo manipulation. This would make it much to easy for you as well as swamp us with submissions. Mixed or multi media use is encouraged. As well as originality, creative use of food idea, and exploration of a new media. We want you to experiment! We want you to try something you never have! Be outrageous! Be bizarre!! Though you don’t have to be… you can be as traditional or not as you’d like.. But you really should try something new! ^_^

The contest will run from the 20th of July to the 2nd of September. That should give you all enough time to create something and submit it. Submit your entry by either linking it to this journal in a comment or sending me a link to your work in a personal note.. titled submission. You may make as many submission as you’d like. Also, try to link this journal to your entry.

PRIZESSS!!!!!!!! Oh yes, there will be prizes!!!!!

The categories for prizes are as follows: an Overall category and 3 sub categories= Most Delicious, Best Use of Medium, and Most Bizarre!

Overall
1st place: 3 month sub. Plus a feature from each of the 3 judges and a free work of art.
2nd place: 1 month sub. Plus a feature from each of the 3 judges and a free work of art.
3rd place: a feature from each of the 3 judges and a free work of art.

Most Delicious
1st place: free work of art
2nd place: feature of their work

Best Use of Medium
1st place: free work of art
2nd place: feature of their work

Most Bizarre
1st place: free work of art
2nd place: feature of their work

And depending on the amount of submissions will determine the amount of honorable mentions. They and their best submission will receive a feature as well.
