what did you think of it? i actually picked it up because an ex boyfriend, my first boyfriend, actually, told me i reminded him of the count.

I found it quite interesting as a whole, although it's veeeery long!! In my opinion, Dumas dwells a bit too much on some descriptive parts, but I liked how the plot is twisted. What point have you reached?
What did your ex mean by saying you reminded him of the count? phisically or psychologically?

oh yes, it's veeery long! i haven't read to far into it though. been taking lots ah breaks in between. haha. maybe Dumas was payed by the word like Dickens... so he really felt that need to be overly descriptive lol. you know, i've no idea?! i never really got a clear answer from him--boys! ^_^

Well, it may be. As far as I know, writing interminable novels was the canon in the XIX century

Perhaps the guy wanted you to discover the similarities by reading the story... who knows
